Berger is involved in academic and sporting activities for youngsters. For many years, Berger has been the main sponsor for an annual week-long event at the International School in Rivière-du-Loup.

Contributions have gone to the Midget AAA and minor league hockey organizations, in addition to sponsoring national athletes such as Pierre Olivier Jean (swimming) and Mélissa Vaillancourt (skiing).
